Text Box: German’s say “Ban Santa”
German Catholics are rampaging that they want to ban Santa Claus in a way to lower the commercialism sayings surrounding Christmas.
The Bonifatiuswerk, a church organization, has begun calling for "Santa Claus-free zones."
The organization says Santa is an "invention of the advertising cooperation designed to boost sales."
The organization feels Santa Claus has nothing to do with the other “historical figure of St. Nicholas.”
St. Nicholas, the saint of children, is described on the group's website as a "helper in need who reminds us to be kind, think of our neighbors, and to give the gift of happiness."
Would you want to ban Santa Claus from the United States or would you like to keep all of the kids happy and filled with joy on Christmas day?
